Lost and Found

I never know what I am doing or where I am going (or should be going). Thankfully, by the grace of God I have found the One to follow: Jesus! I was lost and still would be if it weren’t for my loving Father! He never stopped pursuing me, and now I am His beloved daughter. He shows me the way and gave me my sweet Savior, Jesus, who has made a way (and is the Way). I love the Lord so much! I can never thank Him enough, but I plan to spend the rest of eternity loving Him in return. He has rescued me and continues to restore me and work in me for His good purpose. I am His now and forever. Nothing can snatch me from His hand. Hallelujah!

I started this blog to process thoughts, Scripture and other things I feel God working on with me, speaking to me and teaching me. Please note: present active tense, teaching, not taught. These are all things He is teaching me right now, not that I have already learned, Everything here is spoken from the lowly place of a servant who is sitting at the feet of her Master, trying to really listen and soak everything in, to know Him more. I feel like journaling is one of the “life-lines” God gave me when I first started drawing close to Him several years ago. Writing things down helps me get clarity and “hash things out” with God. Journaling/writing is a big part of my conversations with the Lord. I started feeling compelled to be transparent and share this processing more, so am trying to be obedient in that. Hence, the blog.

I pray the Lord will guide this endeavor and use it for His good purpose and glory and that my life will be a pleasing offering to Him. He is my everything, and I am His. Apart from Him, I have no good thing! May He be high and lifted up in my life and glorified in all the earth!

  1. Dear wp, can I just say well done for taking the bold leap of sharing your intimate journaling with the rest of us. Your humility and complete dependence on God shines through quite clearly. Be encouraged! Well done sister. keep pouring your heart out on this blog and God will surprise you.

  2. Thank you, Watchman, for the kind words of encouragement. I want so much to obey God as He leads me in this and to serve His good purpose and please Him.

  3. Oh my goodness, you have such a sweet heart :) Your boldness with both your life and your words is so refreshing and I am so blessed to be able to follow along with your life’s journey. The blogging community is definitely a new one for me, but it’s so encouraging to be able to connect with people like you who are unafraid to reflect God’s radiance. I’m thankful for you :)

    Blessings,
    Kate

  4. I feel we are Sisters in The Lord with the same focus and of one mind but feel lost not knowing your name, I really don’t like talking to a blog or a pen name, I like sharing with real people, but it is your choice, to me Anne is my birth name and a gift but some call me Annie both are connected, but we remember anyway that we will given a new name written of the purest material our Rock of Ages.

Thank you for your Spirit inspired writing p.w… Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour is indeed our only Teacher and He will teach us all things by the empowering of The Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 2, may you continue to be greatly blessed as you share His Truth at the gate.

    Christian Love Anne.

  5. Hi Kate! Thank you so much for your really sweet comments. I am touched…so much so that I read what you wrote to my husband :) I, too, am pretty new to blogging. I have only been doing this since earlier this year. Before that, I didn’t even really read blogs. I love your blog, too! I can see your love for life and your bubbly personality in all your posts. You brighten my days! Thank you for being who God made you to be.
I pray we will continue to draw closer to our Lord as He leads us on the paths He has for us and reveals Himself more and more to us! Truly, to know Him is to love Him!

  10. I’ve been a journaler for many years and just started my blog last month for some of the same reasons you listed here. I love how you are actually talking to Him online….sounds like a lot of my written journals but a lot more coherent & eloquent :) I’m trying to take my ramblings and put them in a more “user-friendly” form. God Bless you!

  11. Hi Chrystal,

Journaling really has been an amazing gift – something God gave me to help me draw close to Him and talk to Him in a very intimate way. I can’t believe how much I have been blessed by it. God has really become my closest friend and revealed Himself to me in amazing ways. He is SO WONDERFUL!!! If someone had told me a year ago I would be blogging my journaling/processing, I would not have believed it. But, that is the way God works. We just never know what He will have for us next!

I pray that the Lord will guide you as you follow after Him and walk in obedience to Him regarding your blogging. It has challenges (just like everything else). It is a wonderful opportunity to seek to hear His voice with every step (and key-stroke ;)).

Blessings and peace to you in Christ,
    Natalie

  12. Hi Natalie. Thanks so much for stopping by On Faith and Writing and for following. Sorry it took so long for me to come visit you. There never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything done and still keep up on the blogs. Will be back soon. God bless.

  13. Hi Drusilla. I am grateful to Jeanne for “introducing” us :) I know what you mean about not having enough time. Thanks for stopping by. Blessings to you in Christ Jesus!
